Doubling the performance of the previous generation, this small desktop packs a punch. The latest Intel® CoreTM Processor i5 comes as standard with the Mac Mini. When you're using processor-intensive applications you can increases the clock speed up to 3.4GHz and Hyper-Threading lets each core run two threads, so OS X multitasks even more efficiently. The MC815B/A Mac Mini - 2.3GHZ comes equipped with the new and improved OS x Lion to keep things running smoothly.

Whether it's photo libraries, films, music or anything else, you will have plenty of space in the 500GB hard drive. 2GB of fast 1333MHz DDR3memory will keep everything running smoothly, and if you think you need more, a removable top panel allows you to pop it open and add some more.

Featuring two 10-Gbps channels for data transfer, the new Thunderbolt technology is phenomenally fast. It's 12 times faster than FireWire 800 and up to 20 times faster than USB 2.0. Perhaps more exciting than this scorching speed are the expansion capabilities this technology offers. You can daisy-chain up to 6 Tunderbolt peripherals, including the amazing new Apple Thunderbolt display and the Apple LED Cinema Display. And, thanks to DisplayPort technology, your Mini DisplayPort devices plug straight in too.

In addition to the unique Thunderbolt technology, the Mac Mini is ready to make the most of standard connections. You can use the HDMI port and HDMI to DVI adapter to connect to a third party display and you can even connect two displays to double the fun. A built-in SDXC card slot allows access to photos and videos from your digital cameras, and four USB 2.0 ports and a FireWire 800 port let you plug in just about any peripheral. There's also Bluetooth for extra wireless options. The MC815B/A Mac Mini - 2.3GHZ comes with the latest 802.11n wireless technology which automatically connects to your WiFi network for immediate enjoyment.

With an HDMI cable you can connect your MC815B/A Mac Mini - 2.3GHZ to an HD TV to make the most of films and TV from iTunes. You also get a handy control that lets you adjust the output on Mac mini to fill any size of HDTV screen. If you just want to listen to music, you can play your iTunes collection through your home entertainment centre, or stream it to a set of speakers in any room via an AirPort Express Base Station.
